Nature of Science and Technology Including the Definition

In science, science term refers to a naturalistic approach to the study of the universe, considered as obeying rules and laws of natural origin. Science term is also used to distinguish between areas that use the scientific method to study the nature of social science that uses the scientific method to study human behavior and society, formal sciences such as mathematics and logic that uses one second (a priori) the method and the humanities.

Natural sciences are the basis of applied sciences. Overall, natural and applied sciences are distinguished from the social sciences on the one hand, and humanities on the other. Although mathematics, statistics, computer science and are not considered natural sciences (mathematics, traditionally considered among the liberal arts and the humanities statistics, for example), offer many tools and frameworks used in natural sciences.

Alongside this traditional usage, the phrase in science is sometimes used more narrowly to refer to natural history. In this sense, "science" can refer to the biology of Geosciences, and perhaps, as separate from the physical sciences, including astronomy, physics and chemistry.

In science, hard science term is sometimes used to describe the sub-areas, which some consider to be based on experimental data, quantifiable data or the scientific method and focus on accuracy and objectivity. These normally include physics, chemistry and biology. In contrast, soft science is often used to describe the science that are more dependent on qualitative research, including the social sciences.
